I just finished a paper for my Sociolingistics class, which contains the following line:
Finally, I take issue with the conclusion that the work women do in conversation is so base that it can be referred to as “shit”.

Ha! That's great. Going to school when you're older (and you are getting increasingly older in these next couple of weeks) allows you to see education in a perspective that, when you're 15, or 20, you just don't get.
During crits in grad school I would reach a point (usually during someone else's crit) when the scene that I was watching being played out was: 1. Played out and 2. In dire need of some profanity to wake everyone up to how conventional, rote, and puritanical they were being.
Even in a room full of "artists" or in a paper critiquing the limited definition of work done by women, a four letter word can be awfully handy.
