When You NEED Something That's a Responsibility

Since I’ve dropped over $3,000 in the last week it seems completely appropriate that I should be make a less of entirely unnecessary purchases I will fantasize about but never make. My half birthday is just around the corner so feel free to use this as a shopping guide.

1. A Vespa.

In college my rockstar friend, Owen, had an imitation Vespa. I thought it was pretty hot. He drove me home from a party on it and I felt all giddy. I feel like if we didn’t live in the suburbs this might not be an incredibly ridiculous purchase. But we do so it is.

2. MacBook/MacBook Pro

I have a not too bad laptop with a dead battery and a failed wireless card so it has to be plugged into the wall and the modem ALL THE TIME. So I sit on the floor in front of an end table, right next to the TV whenever I want to surf the ol’ World Wide Web. It used to not be so bad because Matt’s iBook worked fine, but he melted his battery by the fire in the mountains and now I can’t curl up with it and be all hipster cute. Eventually I will make this purchase, not now.

3. These Earphones
For no good reason.

4. “Good” Jeans
I used to swear by my $17.99 Target jeans until I tried on like a million pairs of ridiculously priced denim at Need Supply – I am pretty sure they are worth the $100 +, especially for someone who loves her ass as much as I do.
