Hello, I Love You

Thank you, friends, for your words of love and comfort in response to my post about my grandmother - your emails, calls and comment are very much appreciated.

I was in Philadelphia for a chunk of the week for funeral business. My mother's side of the family rivals my father's in terms of robustness and it is a group of people I see a little less. It was wonderful to reconnect with cousins and aunts and uncles - it is nice to be reminded that among them are some of the coolest people that I know. We all seemed aware of that losing our matriarch threatens the strength of our connections - we'll have to work harder to keep in touch.

In the wake of the funeral was a special, special meeting - Henry finally united with his grandparents, favorite aunt and only uncle. He is perfect and beautiful and lovely.
